Der hohe Harzgehalt der Sibirischen Lärche schützt das Holz auf natürliche Weise vor vielen Pilzen und Witterungseinflüssen. Deshalb benötigt es im Außenbereich oft weniger chemischen Holzschutz als andere Nadelhölzer.
